National Office

The CVM National Office was established in 1993 to replicate the Community Voice Mail program. Today, we provide a broad range of services to CVM sites nationwide:
  • Identify and launch new CVM sites
  • Administer the centralized voice mail server network
  • Investigate new technology beneficial to our mission
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with corporate & social change partners
  • Provide technical support and training
  • Support and set standards for the existing federation of sites
  • Advocate for public policy that aligns with our mission
  • Host external and internal web site (with shared document library and best practices)
  • Organize and host annual National Conference of CVM sites

Headquartered in Seattle, WA (the site of the very first Community Voice Mail Program), the National Office has successfully replicated 41 sites to-date.

Community Voice Mail helps people avoid long-term unemployment and homelessness, to escape domestic violence, and to become more productive and self-sufficient. CVM also helps social and health workers who distribute our numbers to do their jobs more effectively.
