Houston CVM Distributes 1,000 Free Voicemail Numbers

Houston Community Voice Mail has distributed over 1,000 numbers to community partners, and is working closely with the Fifth Ward Community Development Corporation to enroll evacuees.

Following the Mayor's plan to decentralize evacuees out of the AstroDome, CVM is working with 26 smaller Red Cross shelters and numerous supporting agencies around Houston and Harris County to get the numbers out to evacuees.

The Texas Workforce Development Commission has taken 4,000 CVM numbers to distribute to users via its Workforce Development boards across the state.
