Seattle CVM Awarded $10,000 Best Practices Grant

The Community Voice Mail National Office awarded the Seattle CVM program $10,000 to implement a community payphone initiative.

The dual goal: to increase free access for CVM users and  to implement a revenue-generating model to increase program sustainability.

Their plan includes an expansion of the idea that other CVM sites have implemented in the past, placing several community payphones at human services agencies within the county and programming these phones to allow free access to CVM clients.

Other objectives include increasing the number of available payphones for all low-income individuals; increasing outreach and marketing of the CVM program to the public; enhancing relationships with participating agency partners; and positively impacting the financial sustainability of the Seattle CVM program.

Congratulations to Seattle Community Voice Mail!
